My Two Front Teeth

Jack sprouted two teeth last week.  My parents said that they would emerge any day but I really thought it would be a few more weeks. He looks so cute!

A Week in Big D

I have been in Dallas this week spending some time with my parents and it has been so much fun.  My mom has basically taught Jack how to crawl...well, we still have a ways to go, but we made some serious progress.  Here are a couple of pictures of the little guy at my parents house.  He can now sit up on his own and pushes forward into the crawling position.

Baby and the Bear

It has been so beautiful in Austin the last couple of weeks. So, I have been playing with Jack and Luca (who we often call "Bear") in the front yard.  I pull Jack's exersaucer under the oak tree and just let Luca roam around the yard.  Jack and Luca are really developing a cool friendship. Luca will give Jack big wet kisses and Jack will smile and squeal in delight. Here is a picture of the two of them in the yard today.

More of Jack Laughing

Cuddly Bear

We have been doing the "Ferber Method" on Jack  for the past couple of weeks in an attempt to gain some control of his sleeping habits...."Ferberizing" him as they call it. It is just a modified version of the "let them cry it out" philosophy.  I have to say, it is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do.  Listening to my baby cry just tears me apart. But, I am happy to report that it is working wonderfully.  Jack has learned to sooth himself and fall asleep on his own! He is now getting his needed 13-15 hours a sleep per day and sleeping about 11 hours a night with only one feeding!  One night last week, we just could not let him cry, so we broke the rules and brought him in to bed to cuddle.  Now look at that cutie.....

Happy Feet

Jack has discovered his feet and, like most objects, loves to put them in his mouth.  Here is a picture of him caught in the act.

Baby Jack Laughing

Hearing Jack laugh warms my heart.  I will do absolutely anything to make the little guy giggle. Watch this video and you will understand why.
