Carter and Jack Playtime

We had a chance to meet up with Carter and Whitney this weekend and the boys got to do some serious bonding.  Carter is adorable and he and Jack had a blast together.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

I took Jack to the zoo today with some of our buddies. Who knew that we had a zoo?  Well, we do!  It is actually a non-profit rescue zoo and the perfect size for  little toddlers.  Truthfully, Jack was not so interested in the animals but found rocks and the snacks that mommy brought very exciting.  He did enjoy feeding the llama.  And, the prairie dog really seemed to grab his attention.  Go figure.  Maybe we will reintroduce the zoo when Jack is a little older.  Here are some pictures from our morning.
Jack just loved to hold Steven's hand while tromping through the zoo.  Steven takes this job very seriously and always grabs Jack's hand as we move from one exibit to the next....so sweet!

Checking out the turtles (oh sorry, tortoises)

All outings require a variety of snack options. We were at the zoo for a total of 15 minutes before the boys needed a snack break.

A Few Newbies

I do not have anything exciting and new to report.  Last week was wet and cold so we spent a lot of time inside. But, we are making up for it now because the past few days have been gorgeous. Here are a few new pictures of the little guy.

Jack in a "big boy chair" sipping a little juice at the Starbucks.
Jack and his buddy Steven.  These two are are so cute together, you just would not believe it. They giggle and chase each other around.  They love to play hide-and-go-seek behind the shower curtain and other select furniture.  They even try and feed each other their favorite foods.  If you even say the word Steven around Jack, he starts doing his little happy dance (picture big smile, arms pumping, and feet dancing).

BBQ!

Well, there seems to be a theme to my recent posts....FOOD!  But, this theme consumes a great deal of our time and provide us with an enormous about of entertainment.  We took Jack to Rudy's tonight for some BBQ with the family.  It was amazing.  We stripped Jack down and put him in front of ribs, turkey, cole slaw, and potato salad.  Here are some pictures of the big event.
