The Easter Parade

Wow, what a fantastic weekend! We had Jack christened over Easter and our amazing family traveled great distances to attend the big event.  We celebrated in a big way with lots beer, wine and of course, Mexican food.  John and I feel really blessed to have such a loving and generous family.  Jack had a blast playing with all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Here are some pictures at the church before the Christening. We had him christened at the 8 pm Easter Vigil service and it was just beautiful.

Jack and his proud parents

What a good lookin' family :-)

More giggling :-)  Jack was some delirious at this point being that it was about 3 hours past his bed time.  What a trooper!
I had to add this photo.  Jack adores salsa.  I know it sounds crazy, but the kid just digs it.  He will put a big bite of spicy salsa in his mouth, tear up, make a crazy face, and then go back for more with out hesitating.  We have tried to stop him for fear that his stomach might pay a price.  But thus far, he has really handled it well.  Here he is digging into the salsa at dinner before his baptism.

Family trip to Fonda san Miguel for Easter brunch...yummy!

A Quick weekend in Dallas

We headed to Dallas this weekend for a very quick trip.  Unfortunately, I was sick so we had to take it very easy. Here are some highlights from our morning outing to the park on Sunday.

Jack absolutely adores his Papa.  There is no way to describe this bond with words.  These two are attached to each other the entire time we are in Dallas.  And, if Papa steps away for just a moment, the tears start to roll down Jack face.  They have SO much fun together....playing ball, chasing each other around the house, building forts and wrestling.  It is THE BEST!!

It was pretty cold and windy at the park, so Jack borrowed Papa's jacket.
Mama's favorite, the profile shot :)
Jack was exhausted by the time we left and took a serious nap during the drive home.
