Fun in the Froggie Pond

We are trying our best to beat the heat here in Austin.  It was 102 degrees today at 4 pm. Unbelievable.  So, if we spend anytime outside, it has to involve shade and water.  I got a little froggie pond for Jack to play in.  For the amount of fun he had, you would have thought it was an olympic size swimming pool.  That is what makes babies SO GREAT!

Mama, this is great!
Hard at work on the hose
Lord, please do not let my knees touch this yucky green stuff
Just posing...

Picture Perfect

Here are a couple pictures that we had taken of Jack at 6 months :)

Squinty Face

Jack has this adorable "squinty face" that he makes all the time and I have been dying to catch it on film.  He flashes this little grin when he is being playful or when he knows his mama is being extra silly.  He also happens to make this face ALL THE TIME when he looks at my brother's girlfriend, Kathleen.  So, with her help, I was able to capture the "squinty face" on film....

Puppy Play

Luca wants Jack to take him for a walk...

New York, New York

We took a family trip to New York last weekend and had such a wonderful time.  Jack got his first taste of the Big Apple and he loved it.  It was HOT but we did lots of walking around the city and central park.

If anyone would like to know what it is like to travel 5 hours on a plane with an 8 month old, here you go....

Just a Little Off The Top...

Jacks was starting to look like he had a bit of a mullet, so I took him in for his first hair cut. The first think they asked me...would Jack prefer to sit in a race car or a fire truck? Question number 2...would he like to watch Lion King or Little Mermaid?  Amazing!  If these options has been available when I was growing up, I don't think my dad would have cut my hair for the first 8 years of my life.
