We spent Easter in DC with John's parents this year and had such a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful and it was really fun to introduce Jack to John's home town. This was our first time to travel with Jack since he became somewhat mobile...it was a challenge to say the least. For months, people have been commenting that Jack is a very "social baby". Well, it all became very clear on our flights to and from DC. Jack was ONLY happy if he could stare at or talk to other passengers....and when I say talk, I mean emit a high pitch squeal or a long low grunt. We occasional heard a "ba ba ba", but those are far and few between. John and I think this is absolutely adorable and represents the fact that our baby is the smartest in the whole world. But, it became very obvious to us that the other passengers on the plane did not agree. Actually, everyone was very sweet and patient. At least until Jack would spit up on their seat, blanket or arm rest...then all of the fun was over and Jack would have to make friends with the next unknowing stranger. Monty gave us a a really great quilt for Jack to play on...it John's when he was a baby. Very cool.
